Pengarah terkenal yang juga creative director Leo Burnett Malaysia, Yasmin Ahmad dilaporkan telah meninggal dunia pada jam 11.25 malam tadi di Hospital Pakar Damansara akibat pendarahan teruk di otak selepas bertungkus lumus di wad ICU selama dua hari selepas terkena strok. Jenazah beliau selamat disemadikan di Tanah Perkuburan USJ 22, Subang Jaya sebelum waktu Zohor sebentar tadi.
Sebelum itu jenazah arwah Yasmin Ahmad telah dibawa ke masjid Abu Bakar As-Siddiq di SS19, Subang Jaya untuk dimandikan dan disembahyangkan, yang diketuai oleh Imam Ustaz Ahmad Salim dan bilal Ustaz Mohamad Soen.
On personal basis, Yasmin’s work really made an impact in my life and had added new perspectives to how I view the world. Thank you Yasmin for this and I am sure everyone will feel a great loss too. A sad feeling that is running much deeper than hearing about Pak Lah planning to retire as the Prime Minister (which in contrast was a joy
